白安妮（Anne Margaret Birrell），剑桥大学教授。曾在纽约城市大学教授中文和中国文学。研究领域为诗歌、文学批评与历史、妇女研究与问题、人类学/民族学、神话/民俗学、地区研究、古典学、神学/宗教等，具体涉及到中国文学，特别是冯梦龙的小说。代表文章：《中国古典四大洪水神话传统》（The Four Flood Myth raditions of Classical China）、《理雅各与中国神话传统》（James Legge and the Chinese Mythological Tradition），代表著作：《中国汉代的流行歌谣》（Popular Songs and Ballads of Han China）、《中国神话与文化》（Chinese Myth and Culture），曾翻译《山海经》（The Classic of Mountains and Seas）、《玉台新咏》（New Songs from a Jade Terrace: An Anthology of Early Chinese Love Poetry, Translated with Annotations and an Introduction）。
